Hello HR Manager,
Interesting idea to post all the wonderful changes in store at Verizon. I'm currently in the market to make some career changes after many years working in the financial services industry. Verizon might be just the place. I've worked for many years as a Project Manager in the IT division for a major investment bank. I'd be more than happy to speak with you re: what types of opportunities might be available to me. I can be reached at darylgoodwin1@comcast.net to provide a resume highlighting my credentials.

HI! I was with GTE/Verizon for over 19 years and held 4 different job titles with Verizon. I Left verizon in 2004 to start my own company but I really missed working in the telecommunication field. How can I get back into the organization. I can send you my resume if you email me at rickbra31@yahoo.com Thank you! Richard

Hi Suely

Great forum. As a former GTE/Verizon employee I would love the opportunity to return to this wonderful organization. I started out as a Consumer Sales Rep in the Orders Dept., and quickly achieved and surpassed all goals for this position. I relished the ongoing training, and was offered a Team Leader position at the same time I was offered the Exec. Admin Asst. position at Telecom. I chose the latter as an opening for new career opportunities even though I enjoyed working in the call center.
Due to unfortunate family obligations I had to leave in 2001 on a leave of absense. That leave ran out and separation papers were put through, though I tried to contact the department to see if I can return to my position. Somehow my messages were never received and the separation was completed. I have been attempting to return to this position for several years, and due to the policy of not hiring former employees, I was not allowed to reapply.

I believe with my expertise and background, I would be a wonderful candidate to return to Verizon and hope that this policy has changed and I have the opportunity to return.

Thank you!!

Suely,
I am a Verizon customer in Pflugerville, Texas. We have a new store in our neighborhood and the staff is FABULOUS!!! In spite of the recession, I think our home value will actually improve with such a nice, prototype store so close!! I love my phone, love the service and I have just fallen in LOVE with the Hub. The products and the service could not be possible without great HR processes in place - recruiting, training, professional development, leadership development, culture, etc.
I will begin a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership in May. I would like to stay in touch in hopes that I may be able to conduct a case study or research with Verizon.
Sincerely,
Barbara Johnson

Hello, I am interested in the Internships that are available from Verizon, but have a concern. I am a recent college graduate and would be willing to take on an unpaid internship in order to gain some beneficial career experience. IS this possible?

Thank you,
