Great Career Opportunity for a Local Manager-Operations in WV-Charleston


The position you are considering is slated to transition to Frontier when the pending transaction with Frontier closes. That closing is expected to occur on July 1st. If you become employed by Verizon, and then transition to Frontier, your benefits (active and/or retiree) will also transition to Frontier. This will be the case regardless of whether your employee status with Verizon is as a regular employee or otherwise.


Position Responsibilities:
• This position is located at MacCorkle Ave in Charleston, WV and is responsible for Resource support for North WV I&M Field Organization including 1-3 clerical associates
• Responsibilities include support for the training, staffing, motor vehicle management, capital/expense tool management and all other field resource needs. Requirements also include weekend duty, on call and extended hours as needed. Candidate must be willing to work holidays and weekends as needed
Required Skills and Experience:• Previous supervisory experience
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects successfully
• Demonstrated ability to successfully manage short deadline projects with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong PC skills- Microsoft office, Outlook
• Experience in working in a union environment
• Strong negotiation skills
Desired Skills and Experience:
Knowledge of outside plant environment
• Experience in building and managing Access databases
• Experience in Verizon financial systems including expense and capital budget management
• Knowledge of vRepair, WFA, Fleet Tracker, CMPS, and Norm, Vision
• Project Management certification
