Its been over 4 months or so and other than my cell and house bill (hint, hint. LOL) I haven't heard anything. Im writing because I just thought that if Verizon HR said that they are going to call/email/send mail then I would've Held my breath. Thank Goodness I didn't. I am/was very upset and disappointed not because they didn't call, but because they said that they would and didn't.

V.VirG3nCiTahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11836768636497125126noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2240087797953508154.post-12739625749576178282008-10-16T11:57:00.000-07:002008-10-16T11:57:00.000-07:00esutton,Good afternoon! I really like your suggestions and do belive this is something we can do globally, across Verizon. Additionally, I am aware that in many locations there are "drop boxes" in our buildings for employees to recycle their phones, however, I think we can expand upon this and will send your suggestions/questions along to my contacts within Verizon Wireless. However, they to provide recyling bins and many of their stores, to what extent, I will investiage. In the meantime, I did a little research and found some interesting ways to recycle our phones, and help other people. Take a look and let me know what you think!

Overall Donation Site:
http://recyclemycellphone.org/recycle.cfm

Recycle Donation Center Identifier:
http://www.recellular.com/recycling/
Soldier Donations:
http://www.cellphonesforsoldiers.com/

Battered Woman Organization:
http://www.snbw.org/donate/cellphone.htm

I just provided a few options, but as I stated before, I will make this request and see where it takes us. Again, thanks for the post. I think this is just the kind of caring and proactive thinking that we need!

Kelly
Manager-Talent Acquisiton Strategy and OperationsHR Managerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08672523954492248758noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2240087797953508154.post-7150556328645119352008-10-10T18:11:00.000-07:002008-10-10T18:11:00.000-07:00Hello Kelly,Yes, "Every little bit helps!" Since this is the new initiative for many corporate strategic planning teams, and while companies are using "hybrids" for their new fleet, what happens to the "old"? See, while I support every initiative as long as it runs equal across the board, like with trade-ins. Why are telecommunication companies not taking in trade-ins when consumers are purchasing new phones every two/three months? Would this not help even more while reinforcing community brand loyalty supporting such a "reliable network"? (keep in mind, I know about cost effectiveness/product upgrades) We could truly become a recycling country when its across the board for all products.
A consumer and interested employee
esuttonesuttonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06402788698939005011noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2240087797953508154.post-48834206602978072062008-10-10T12:56:00.000-07:002008-10-10T12:56:00.000-07:00Jim,I apologize that you haven't heard anything fr...Jim,

I apologize that you haven't heard anything from the Staffing Team at this point. The company I work for now asked everyone to add "please consider the environment before printing this email" (in green text with a small tree logo)to their email signature lines. Every little bit helps! I have been checking the verzion.com/careers web page and notice new positions for MultiMedia Techs in Egg Harbor Twp, Freehold, Ewing and Booton, NJ. I passed the UTB-R test on Aug 9th, I was wondering if you could give me any insight into the progress of my applications. My name is James Sparmo and my email address is jsparmo@yahoo.com.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11311915355372273013noreply@blogger.com
